If you are not familiar with the term, preselling, then you have to learn about it because that is the essence of writing a product review that performs well. In addition to preselling, your product review has to contain, or should at least, a number of known elements that help create a winning review. Obviously, each part of a piece of content has different factors each of which is important, and so you have to write your introduction very carefully and give it proper attention. People on the net are so impatient, as you know, and so do not waste any time with getting to the point of your review and what it is all about. If the reader is interested enough in the product to find your review, then you know that part is already there – so take advantage of the existing desire to know more.
Your audience will be truly impressed if you are willing to show them all the warts of the product. If you try to dance around saying anything negative, then people will spot that in an instant and it is game over for you. Go ahead and talk about anything and do not have any reservations about doing so. We all know the deal with anything we buy, products will have some drawbacks because they always just do.
Never add any kind of copy for no good reason, but you must be able to reach your readers using words that will educate as well as appeal to their emotional buying mind. Your readers should be able to connect with your review and feel emotionally inclined towards taking the action you want them to take, whether it’s entering their email address or visiting the sales page of the product. It’s a fact that people make buying decisions due to their own emotional reasons, which is why you should try and put in as much effort as you can in getting the right words in place, and see to it that they get connected to the review.
You can score positive points when you show the reader that you are not purposely trying to get them to buy the products you are reviewing. Unless your prospect finds something valuable in your product review, they will pass it. Make sure you write to presell which automatically precludes any copy that is of the selling variety. Once you are satisfied with your sales from your reviews, then obviously that is the end-game and you can move on to another review. Work with the mindset that you are helping people make a decision, and that should permeate all you do.
